Have you ever wanted to coordinate your own fundraiser, conference, event, or your best friend’s birthday party? An internship in event planning could become a fantastic starting point for a career in event management. Even in our increasingly digital age, event planning requires a good old-fashioned organization, relationship building, and face-to-face interaction. Internships Worldwide works with top event agencies, destination management companies and hotels that provide hands-on experience to interns, such as negotiating with vendors, coordinating logistics and schedules, and making sure everything runs smoothly. To increase your chances of a smooth internship, familiarize yourself with project management tools like Asana and Trello, as well as event management platforms like Eventbrite.
When you complete an event planning internship with one of Internships Worldwide partners, you will learn how to organise different events, starting from a theme development to booking speakers, organizing décor and coordinating event support. You may also participate in team planning meetings that focus on setting the budget and schedule for the event. During your event internship program, you may be involved in researching professional speakers, drafting letters to guests, and working closely with event managers to organize, record, and track progress.
